Hello everyone! I am C/CPT Erik Eisold, and I am the main coordinator for service learning during the 2019 through 2020 school year. My sophomore year I got the privilege of presenting part of our Service Learning project to representatives from other schools. Over the last few years we have developed a good relationship with the Conservancy of Naples and I hope to continue projects with them. Since we live on the beach, we have always done projects associated with the coast. Doing projects like these helped teach others and myself more about the environment that we live in. One of the most valuable attributes I gained from service learning was learning from the projects we did for the environment. I also developed very good relationships with my teammates while participating in the project. We also identify different cadets as LET representatives. These cadets will have the honor of speaking about our project to representatives of the U.S. Army in December. Two years ago Naples High School placed first place in the Collier County Recycling Competition. That year our project was to work on recycling in our school. We completed the project successfully and got recognized by the school board. I hope that we as a team accomplish great things for ourselves, our school, and the environment we live in over the next few years. Let’s make it a great year golden eagle battalion!
