Master Sergeant Dale Eaton (Ret) is the JROTC Army Instructor at Naples High School.
MSG Eaton joined the Army National Guard in 1981 and then served on active duty with the Army for another 20 years retiring to Naples, FL. He served as a Training NCO, Strength Maintenance NCO and Recruiter achieving the Chief’s 50 Award during his time in recruiting (Top recruiter in the state.) MSG Eaton was deployed to Saudi Arabia and Kuwait in support of Operation Desert Shield/Storm. MSG Eaton’s awards include 2 Meritorious Service Medals, 3 Army Commendation Medals, 4 Good Conduct Medals, Kuwait Liberation Medal, Service in Southwest Asia Service Medal, and the Army Gold Recruiter Badge. He has an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science from Excelsior College.
MSG Eaton previously served as an Army JROTC Instructor for 6 years at Blackman High School in Tennessee. He worked as a sworn Florida State Law Enforcement Officer for the Fish and Wildlife Service (Game Warden) patrolling both land and water in the area south of Marco Island. His duties included protecting the public and Florida’s natural resources.
He competed in multiple sports events to include running, biking, and swimming races with his longest race being the 1999 Ironman Florida in a time of 10 hours and 36 minutes.
At Naples JROTC he is the coach for the Raider and Rifle Teams.
He has lived in Naples for a total of 12 years with his wife of 29 years, Sandra. They have one daughter who is currently serving as an officer with the United States Air Force.
